Saturday, Sunday, Monday
Renowned Italian playwright Eduardo De Filippo’s classic comedy.
It looks like a weekend like any other at the Priores’. On Saturday a tense Rosa is busy preparing her famous ragù sauce. Her husband Peppino scolds her for every minor thing and vents his frustration at anyone who comes within his reach. Marital misunderstandings, a lover’s quarrel, and conflict between the generations escalate as passions flare. Matters will inevitably explode on Sunday …
This performance of Saturday, Sunday, Monday by The Henley Players is the final part of a project called “Pane ed Eduardo”, a documentary about Eduardo De Filippo’s legacy in the English speaking Theatre, written by Teri Zambigli, playwright, actress and director, and filmed by Will Webb.
