PUSS IN BOOTS
It’s traditional Pantomime, but not as we know it.
This year HCT bring you their regular fun, light hearted family entertainment, but with a modern twist. Principal Boy Jesse, is in fact, a Principal Person, or a Principal It? With the help of trusty friend, Puss, she will endeavour to win a fortune and title to secure the love of the feckless Prince Georgeous. With a buoyant cast of characters, we meet the Monty Python’esque Knights of the Rectangular Table, the appropriately modern GerDAME Greer, and some hapless Peasants. All bid to overcome the flatulent Giant Trump and achieve a happy ending.
Mayor Bercow will bring “order” to the chorus line of singing and dancing Villagers. And the little tiny ones (always much beloved at HCT for their cuteness) will don their antennae and feature as entertaining Fleas, fresh off the coat of our protagonist Puss. A live band accompanies the joyous voices of local children. #lovelocal and support our future stars.
This show is traditional and suitable for all the family, but with an updated feel: Henley’s longest standing much loved children’s group celebrates a 50 year tradition of performing Pantomime at the Kenton Theatre.
