The Royal Society of Beastologists are a group with one mission: to track down mythical beasts. They can’t wait to come to Henley, meet their new members and capture Beastly Boris, the monster of Mill Meadow.  They’ve heard it’s been causing all sorts of nuisance.

But Jessy, the youngest Beastologist, has her doubts about beast hunting. What if beasts don’t want to be found? When Jessy is left behind at camp, an encounter with the Beast could help her transform the ways of the Beastologists for good…

Catch That Beast! is a magical, deliciously silly show about how we interact with wild things and how the youngest among us might bring about change. Full of humour, live music, inventive puppetry and audience participation, it is suitable for everybody aged 5+

Frequently Asked Questions:

Mill Meadows is pretty big. Where exactly is the show?

We will be performing in a space right next to the Band Stand and along the riverbank, near to the Henley Piazza.

Where can I park?

Parking is available at the public car park on Meadow Road (RG9 1BE), but the site is easily accessible on foot from Henley town centre if you prefer to use public transport.

Can I bring a picnic?

Of course! Bring a blanket, or low chairs and pitch up! If you would prefer to buy a coffee, a meal or an ice cream the Henley Piazza near to the performance space will be happy to help.

Is seating provided?

No. Please bring blankets or low backed chairs with you if you don’t want to sit on the grass.

Are there toilets available?

Yes, public toilets are available adjacent to the performance area.

What time can I arrive?

We plan to open the site 90 minutes before the performance so you can pick your spot and lay out your picnic.

Can I buy tickets on the day?

Yes. We will have a box office at the entrance to the site and if there are any tickets left you can purchase them on arrival. To avoid disappointment we recommend that you buy your tickets in advance. You can collect pre-purchased tickets at the gate or from the theatre, or we can post them to you. Alternatively we can provide you with an e-ticket which you can show on your phone or print out at home.

Can I bring a gazebo? What about my pets?

Unfortunately the site is of a limited size, and there are likely to be other audience members behind you. So please don’t bring a gazebo, windbreak or anything which would prevent other people being able to see the show. Also we ask that no animals are brought onto site with the exception of support or assistance dogs.

What if it rains?

This show is designed to be performed outdoors, and will go ahead even if the weather isn’t great. We will be constantly monitoring the event from a safety point of view, and will cancel if we decide it would be unsafe to proceed. If we are forced to cancel the performance we will contact you to arrange a full refund for your tickets.
