Your local Drama Festival is back! Around a dozen local voluntary theatre companies, usually with a strong youth contingent and all needing your support. Massive value! (up to three plays a night – two on Saturday). Spot the writers of the future! – we always feature original plays alongside works by established names (David Campton, Laura Lomas’ ‘Chaos’ as recently seen at the Royal National Theatre, and many more), maybe future stars as well (The ‘Limitless Academy of Performing Arts’ are coming for the first time this year). Compare Jill Richardson’s nightly ‘fair but frank’ adjudications with your own opinions!

Our 50th Anniversary! Festival Director and Kenton legend Ann Dayton, then an ingenue, was in the very first Festival, along with other companies still happily with us after all these years! Awards ceremony on the last night. See you there!
