Comedy@ the Kenton – October

Mon – Sat 11am – 3pm
plus one hour prior to performance for that show only

Presented by the Kenton Theatre and Avalon

Prepare to have your funny bone tickled, your ribs tickled, and if you ask nicely, maybe your feet tickled too (ask at the bar) as we welcome three more comedians to our monthly comedy evenings. For your pleasure this evening…

Lou Sanders is one of the most original comedians in Britain. An acclaimed stand-up, her fifth Edinburgh show was critically-acclaimed in Edinburgh and London’s Soho Theatre in 2016 and garnered seven four- and five- star reviews.

“Destined for hugeness” – Time Out

Semi-finalist in So You Think You’re Funny? (2009), Amused Moose Laugh-Off (2010), and part of Fringe favourites WitTank, Kieran Boyd has been performing his inventive, high-energy stand up across the country for five years. In 2009 and 2010 he compered the stand-up showcase, Comedy Baby, and in 2011 performed in a split show Don’t Mess. In 2016 Kieran took his debut solo show Egg up to the fringe to great acclaim.

“Like a young Simon Amstell…Impressively funny…Terrific material” – Kate Copstick, The Scotsman

Sophie Duker describes herself as a “sexy-cerebral comedy underdog” and is quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting new acts on the circuit. In 2018 Sophie starred in a comedy pilot for Channel 4 called Riot Girls, as well as a new pilot for Comedy Central UK called What I Wish I’d Said.

“A sparky proposition… intelligent jokes” – The Independent
