Five genius composers and lyricists with collaborations that go back a century this year: Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein II, Jerome Kern, Lorenz Hart and Sigmund Romberg with shows including Oklahoma!, Carousel, Showboat, South Pacific, The Desert Song and The Sound of Music.
Songs including Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, A Fine Romance, The Way You Look Tonight, The Lady Is a Tramp, My Funny Valentine, Edelweiss, If I Loved You, Some Enchanted Evening, Ol Man River and You’ll Never Walk Alone will feature in this magical evening of music and song.
Leading West End artist Mike Sterling, who headlined the recent sell-out production of Stars of the West End at the Kenton, returns with international musician and impresario Toby Cruse on piano. They take you on an incredible musical journey through a golden era. It’s sure to be a night to remember.
Guests such as National Treasure Vince Hill will be appearing together with his Musical Director of many years Ken McCarthy who will be accompanying Vince on his musical pieces.
Mike’s partner on stage from over 20 years ago in Phantom of the Opera where she played the role of Christine – Joanne Pullen will also be making an appearance.
Musical director for the evening and on piano will be West end musical director and impresario Toby Cruse.
All proceeds go to the Kenton Theatre, Charity number 253021.
