CORONAVIRUS

Welcoming you back safely

As of Thursday 24 February, the legal restrictions implemented in England to combat the Covid-19 pandemic were removed in their entirety. We do however recommend that customers continue to wear face masks/coverings if they wish to.

All events which are hosted at the Kenton Theatre will of course comply with any government guidelines current at the time. Our primary aim is always the safety of our customers, staff and performers.

Please note – all information is correct at time of publishing. We are acting in accordance with government guidelines, which are subject to change – please check this page before your visit.

The Box Office

Our box office is now fully open and we look forward to welcoming you if you wish to book tickets in person. The following measures will be in place for your visit:

  • E-tickets will be available. These do not have to be printed but can be shown on your smartphone or similar device for us to scan on entry.
  • We will carry out enhanced cleaning of all public areas, both prior to and during opening
  • We do not ask you to maintain social distancing but we do ask that all visitors respect each other’s personal space and where possible remain apart from other groups.
  • Transactions at the Box Office will be cashless where possible
  • We recommend that all visitors carry out a lateral flow test no more than 24 hours prior to their visit, and that a positive test result means that those visitors should not attend. In this case those visitors should contact the Box Office to arrange a refund or exchange of their ticket.

Performances

Any performances will include a range of measures to reduce congestion and allow everybody to respect each other’s space. The following measures will also be in place for these performances:

  • E-tickets will be available. These do not have to be printed but can be shown on your smartphone or similar device for us to scan on entry.
  • We will carry out enhanced cleaning of all public areas including the Auditorium, both prior to and during performances. We have also enhanced our ventilation systems, and these will be operating to draw air out of the building at all times and replace this with fresh air.
  • Hand sanitising stations positioned throughout the building

  • The Bar will be open during your visit but transactions will be cashless and paperless. We ask that when queueing at the bar all visitors respect each other’s personal space and remain apart from other groups.
  • Cloakrooms and other storage will not be available so please bring minimal belongings.
  • We will send you an email prior to the performance detailing the measures we have in place, but we will not ask you to arrive at staggered intervals from other visitors. We may ask you to leave by a different route to how you entered.
  • Programmes, souvenirs and ice creams can be purchased during your visit. Please note all transactions will be cashless.

These measures will be reviewed and updated in line with Government guidelines.

Please do not attend the theatre if you:

  • believe you may be infected with COVID-19;
  • are experiencing symptoms;
  • have been instructed to self-isolate;
  • or have tested positive for Coronavirus within 24 hours prior to your visit.

Book with confidence

Please be reassured that should you book for a performance which has to be cancelled, you will be offered the option of a refund, credit or a transfer to another performance.
For maximized flexibility customers can exchange their ticket up to at least 24 hours prior to the event (subject to availability).
We hope you have an enjoyable visit but if you do have any concerns, members of staff will be on hand to help you.
