At least two short plays every evening; a warm welcome, coffee, drinks in the fourth oldest working theatre in England, the wonderful Kenton; the chance to compare your opinions on the plays with fellow theatre-lovers; finally each evening, a firm but fair evaluation by a professional and highly-qualified GODA associated Adjudicator – Bob Tomson and – on the final night – an Awards ceremony, often featuring a local celebrity.

This year you can spot the leading actors and writers of tomorrow, at least two brand new plays and – always a feature for us – at least two young people’s companies; an English version of a mad French comedy from 1860 in which the cast keep bursting into song…So be it local stars of HAODS and Stageworks as well as well established – Didcot Phoenix Drama Group, Oxford Theatre Guild and Sinodun Players. 2019 winners Alternate Shadows Theatre Group will be back with us as well!
